Dale Fickett serves as Executive Director of RVA Works. In this capacity he leads the organization’s efforts to strengthen the environment for entrepreneurship in Richmond. Dale serves on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Business Incubation Association, and the Virginia Impact Investing Working Group. He previously served on the Executive Steering Committee of the Virginia Small Business Quality Award Panel – an initiative of the U.S. Senate and the Secretary of Commerce & Trade for Virginia.
He recently authored “Differentiating Our Startup Ecosystem” and “Creating Jobs in Virginia – Building New Businesses”. His background includes work consulting with Accenture’s strategy practice in Europe, as a startup founder, as well as guest lectures and research with the Wharton School SBDC, Trinity College Dublin, and Northwestern University. Dale also serves in numerous capacities within the Catholic Church, with a particular focus on market-based solutions for sustainability.
He achieved a BSBA cum laude from LaSalle University in Management and in Finance; and an MBA magna cum laude from Villanova University. He is father to Fiona Mary and Cian Stephen Fickett.
Sharon L. Kerrick, Director of Operations joined RVAWorks, a Richmond-based business incubator (formerly Advantech) in 2010 bringing extensive property management experience with her. Additionally, she performs administrative duties for the Economic Development Authority of the City of Richmond, Virginia.
An entrepreneur in her own right, Sharon has a keen understanding of the skill-set required for the success of the daily operations and administration of a facility which offers office space options to help defray start-up costs for small and minority-owned businesses. Her ability to work with entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds and passion for assisting RVAWorks tenants as their businesses develop, has created a highly effective word-of-mouth marketing strategy to draw new start-ups as well as established businesses to the business incubator.
Sharon is an active volunteer for Richmond SPCA and Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond.
Richard Montague has been working at RVA Works (formerly AdvanTech) since 2010. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management / Administration which he received from Virginia Commonwealth University.
