Dennis Ryan
Dennis Ryan, a city of Richmond resident, was appointed as member of the Economic Development Authority of the City of Richmond on February 26, 2007. His appointment was sponsored by 1st district Councilman, Bruce Tyler. He is a native of Pensacola, Florida and moved to Richmond after graduating from college in 1974.
He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor degree at the University of Virginia.
Prior to helping found LeClair Ryan, the 5th largest law firm in Virginia, Mr. Ryan served various management positions with a Fortune 500 computer company. From 1982-1984, he worked in the corporate and securities section of Hunton & Williams. He then joined the business section of Crews & Hancock where he practiced extensively in healthcare and insurance law. Since the conception of LeClair Ryan in 1988, Mr. Ryan has continued a varied practice in corporate law, including merger acquisitions, entity formation, insurance, health care and contract negotiation. He currently serves as corporate counsel and advisor for a variety of businesses.
